What is the difference between Standard and Premium sailing category

As you already probably noticed while browsing our short sailing offer in Croatia, we decided to divide the sailing experiences we offer in two main categories: Standard and Premium.

To help you gain better insight into both of these short overnight sailing options and know all the facts before choosing the perfect vacation for yourself, we will try to bring as much information regarding our offer in the following lines.

Before continuing to the differences, we would first like to point out that both our Standard and Premium boats are maintained in excellent condition and have an experienced skipper/crew sailing the boat and taking care of your safety. There is no compromising in the quality or welfare regardless of the category you end up choosing for yourself.

In many cases, our skippers are also boat owners who have years of experience in the marine sector and life at sea. Their boat is their home, and they know every inch of it, inside and out. They are devoted professionals, usually with a relaxing and pleasant personality that will contribute to the quality of your overall experience.

Our Standard sailing boats are usually from 42-50 feet long sailing yachts and have anywhere from 2, 3, or 4 double cabins that accommodate 2 – 8 guests. They represent a basic sailing option where you have at your disposal the skipper, the boat, and the fuel, but no extra items such as a hostess, food and drink service, or some additional water toys.

It is also important to notice that our standard boats' final price does not include the cost of mooring fees, and those are to be paid directly in the port or the marinas. The cost of the mooring fees varies depending on the destination, size of the boat, and the season. The prices can go anywhere from 50 to 175 euros, depending on the previously mentioned factors. As for the food, you are welcome to bring your food on board. The boat is equipped for the preparation of simple meals like pasta or various salads. We usually advise our guests to buy supplies for the first two days, and then later, you can always buy fresh groceries at the supermarkets on the islands. We also encourage our guests to explore authentic local cuisine in restaurants along the way.

It is essential to think ahead if your choice of the route includes national parks (Kornati archipelago) or more remote islands, and if you follow a specific dietary regime. The markets in previously mentioned areas might be dislocated and/or they might not have an as diverse offer as a market on the mainland or a more popular destination along the route. But this is why you have us to help you with planning, so please be free to reach out with any additional questions before your arrival, and we would be happy to guide you and share ideas.

Now, moving on to our Premium sailing offer. Our Premium sailing boats include spacious catamarans from 42-57 feet long. They have more space but do not necessarily have more cabins than a standard boat (max. 6 guests). Focus is on offering more comfort for guests, and beautifully outfitted spacious decks contribute to that purpose. Besides more room, they also have additional accessories, leisure items, and services included in the price.

Catamarans are equipped with water toys like stand-up paddles, kayaks, water tubes, fishing rods, board games, and similar, to provide extra fun and excitement.

Besides the captain, the boat usually has an additional crew member, a hostess who takes care of the guests, and the food preparation (breakfast and lunch). We focus on serving fresh and healthy ingredients to our guests and also cater to different dietary regimes. Please, feel free to inform us about your dietary restrictions or eventual allergies so we could make all the necessary preparations.

The other two things important to notice would be that the cost of mooring fees is included in the final price of the Premium category and the fact that the catamarans usually come with a minimum charter period that varies from 3- 4 nights onboard for different boats.

In the end, we would like to point out that both Standard and Premium sailing experiences are high-quality products that we have been wholeheartedly developing and offering to our guests for years. You can not choose wrong when opting for the best for you as they are designed to respond to different personal interests and individual needs and suit different lifestyles, values, and travel preferences.

We are sure that both experiences grant a wonderful holiday with memories that last for a lifetime.
